Dr Brown and Dr Thomason started Southwestern Ear, Nose and Throat in 1987. After graduating from University of Missouri – Columbia in 1977 (BA in Chemistry, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa), he received his medical degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine in 1982 (Cum Laude). He then completed his residency at Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas in 1987. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (1987) and became a Fellow in American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy in 1995.
Dr Brown practices as a general ENT physician. In 2013, he stopped performing head and neck surgery and now has an office based ENT practice focused on several interests – medical management of allergy and sinus conditions, and the medical management of hearing and balance problems.
Dr Brown has lived in Santa Fe since 1987. Both of his children, Ellie and Andrew, were born at St Vincent Hospital, grew up in Santa Fe, and are now in graduate school. He and his wife, Leigh Ann, enjoy hiking, skiing and participating in a wide variety of Santa Fe activities.
